The Story
There was once a girl who grew up in a traditional home in Ireland. Surrounded by the beautiful countryside (it really is greener than anywhere else!), amazing stories of pixies and leprachauns, and the warmth of Jewish practice (not mentioning chicken soup and kugel), she grew up to love to hear and tell stories!
Leaving Ireland at 18, Lisa studied in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv learning the language and strangely new but familiar culture of Israel. She wanted to see the world, so degree in hand (Film & Television and English Literature) she traveled to Italy, Scotland and the Caribbean Islands and Highlands, working as waitress, stable-girl, galley-slave, bar-tender and photographer.
Lisa returned to Israel in 1993 and starting working for the United States Agency for International Development at the most exciting of times, in the office for Development Programs in the West Bank and Gaza. She volunteered in the Rape Crisis Center in Tel Aviv, learning in-depth counseling skills. In 1997, she completed her Boston University MBA (in conjunction with Ben Gurion Uni.), married Ilan, and moved to Ireland.
Over the next 7 years, Lisa worked in various HR roles until she realized her passion for adult learning and took up a role in Training and Development with Fidelity Investments Systems Company. These years in Ireland were filled with learning and stories; amazing work opportunities, re-acquainting with Ireland as an adult and becoming a mother!
Returning to Israel in 2004, Lisa began working as a Consultant for various organizations and businesses and at the same time studied Coaching with the International Coach Academy. She was awarded the PCC from the International Coach Federation in 2008 and was a member of the ICF Research and Education Commitees in 2009 and 2010. She presented at the ICF Internation Conference in Texas in 2010 and the European Coaching Coaching 2011 .
Lisa founded Story Coach Inc. http://www.story-coach.com in 2008 and has empowered people and busineses world wide with her Story Coaching and Narrative Based Leadership Programs and Services.
