Do you know your core message?
Do you say what you REALLY want to say?
Are you doing what you love and being who you really are?
I don’t know about you but I’ve been inundated by emails over the last few weeks offering me all kind of special programs; coaching, mentoring, systems, blueprints, roadmaps.
I’m fascinated by the message that’s being sent out.
On the one hand, there seems to be the recognition that something has changed, that what worked in the past may not be working right now. On the other hand, what’s being offered seems to be very much like what’s always being offered.
And when it gets down to the actual message, I think there are a few. And it goes something like this:
You don’t know what you’re doing.
You don’t have the skills you need.
You haven’t got access to the right people.
You are limited.
You have no influence.
You need ME to change all of the above.
Well, I don’t buy it. I definitely don’t believe it.
Not for me and certainly not for you.
You see, I think you know exactly what you are doing.
I reckon you have all the skills you need.
I believe you are UNLIMITED.
I’d like to invite you to try that on.
To focus on what you are, not what you are not.
To look at what’s working rather than focusing on what’s missing.
To see who and what you love rather than notice what irritates and annoys you.
You know that what you focus on grows. You have experienced this time and time again.
It’s time to focus on what you REALLY want to say.
To create what you really want to do.
To live how you really want to be.
I’m not saying don’t learn new things (I never stop reading, taking courses and learning).
I don’t mean don’t get support and help in areas where you want to grow.
I’m saying don’t buy ANY message that tells you that you are not enough.
You are enough. You always have been.
Thanks Lisa. Fabulous reminder about how we relate to ourselves and others in life and in business.
thanks for your comment Suzanne, best wishes, Lisa
Wonderful article. Totally agree.
I completely agree, Lisa. For my clients, I call it their Inner Magick, and work with them to find it so that they can create the life they really want.
Lovely, I call it story magic!!!
I totally agree Lisa. We need to focus on our own and others brilliance. We do not need fixing. When we use higher conscious vibration tools to catalyze our clients they come alive in all they are so they can make a difference in all they do in the world.
Yes, love this Gina-Dianne, thanks!
I've been inundated too beyond the realm of human belief. In the age of emails and online stuff, this also seems to be the norm. It's all about being real and standing up to who you are – your vulnerability and authenticity.
So true Dorit, it’s hard to figure out the messages sometimes. Thanks for your comment, best wishes, Lisa
What we heard is also part of the marketing message – different than our own message.
YES! 🙂
Thanks for your comment Astra…I’d love to hear more! best wishes, Lisa
Just a few days ago, I unsubscribed myself (quite proudly, I may add!) from a few big name people exactly for these same reasons you mentioned. When I subscribed to them, I thought they surely know how to help me "give voice" to stepping up big but when I let their their marketing messages soak in, I discovered that I unconsciously and willingly let them "take my voice away." I agree that marketing is important for business, but there are ways to encourage one without bringing him/her down. Serving my clients to believe they are enough is an act of integrity.

Absolutely agree Lisa! A friend and I were just talking about exactly this! We are not broken, or in need of fixing! We all have inner wisdom and connecting with that to build on an already fabulous foundation that is you! Thanks for this message Lisa it's very timely x.
Thanks for your comment Renee! Best wishes, Lisa
What a refreshing message! I usually don't reply to mass emails, but this one is worth a mention. Well done, Lisa.
Thanks Kathy, I appreciate your comment! Best wishes, Lisa
